The Alberta Potters' Association & Village Brewery invite you to apply for our 2022 exhibition titled, PROST! CHEERS! APA Stein Show 2022. Our Show 2022 will coincide with Oktoberfest with our event on Sept 24th and 25th 2022 at Village Brewery in Calgary, Alberta. All vessels entered into the show must be for sale. The consignment split for sold items is 30% to the APA and 70% to the artist. Everyone (18+ years) is welcome to attend the event at Village Brewery as it is open to the public.
Please apply with any drinking vessel, functional or sculptural, to our stein inspired exhibition. To be considered, work must be minimum 75% ceramic. You may submit up to 5 pieces. There is a non-refundable submission fee of $20 CAD per submission (a set is considered 1 submission).$10 CAD for APA members per submission. This call is open to all clay artists no matter where you reside. Open to student & seasoned clay artists.
This is a juried exhibion. You may submit up to 5 pieces (a set is one submission). Not all submissions are guarunteed entry to the show. After the closing date August 22nd - our jury committee will complete the process and artists will be notified of acceptance or rejection via email by August 29th 2022. Physical items must be mailed or delivered to Calgary, Alberta, Canada by September 15th.
Accepted works will be eligible to win one of 4 prizes during our exhibition. Best Functional Stein, Best Sculptural Stein, Best Student Stein and People's Choice Award. These awards will be announced at our phyiscal event at Village Brewery in Calgary, AB on Sept 25th. If the winner is not present, the prize will be mailed.

Terms & Conditions
This is a juried show. The application fee of $20/$10CAD is non-refundable. Accepted work will be mailed to Calgary at the artists's expense. If sold during the exhibition the consignment split is 30% to APA and 70% to the artist. Cheques will be mailed 2 weeks after the show. Any unsold local work will be delivered one week after the show. Any unsold work not from Calgary will be shipped back to the artist from the APA. The APA is not responsible for any damaged work in transit. If work is damaged during the exhibtion the artist will be paid out their 70%.
